Mammoth Lakes Arts on the 4th

For fun all weekend long, be sure to head to the Mammoth Lake Arts on the 4th festival. Enjoy all kinds of local goods, from fine art to handmade crafts. It also proudly features many local musicians. In addition to great arts, you can also enjoy great food, cocktails, and local beer. Stop by the Splash Art Booth to collaborate with other visitors to the festival on a large art piece and enter the raffle for a chance to bring it home! For those visiting with kids, be sure to make a stop at the Kids Art Booth. Here you’ll find short, easy crafts that will keep your kid’s attention but also help foster their creativity and give them a chance to make their own souvenir! The festival is located right along the parade route, it is easy to get to no matter where you are located in town. This is also the annual fundraising event for the Mono Arts Council, so consider making a donation or purchasing themed merchandise to support local arts education programs.

Mammoth Half Marathon and Footloose Freedom Mile

If you enjoy staying active over your holiday weekend, then be sure to sign up for one of two races going on for Mammoth Lake 4th of July 2021 weekend. Whether you love fishing or have never tried it before, Mammoth Lakes on 4th of July Weekend is a great place to fish! On Saturday, July 3rd, enjoy Free Fishing Day in Mono County, one of two days a year where you can fish without a license, making it great for first-time fishers. More experienced fisherman will also enjoy the How Big-is-Big Fishing Derby, an event hosted by the Walker General Store. The 17-minute “Sky Concert” is set to begin at 9:15 pm, weather permitting. Admission is $25 per vehicle or $5 per person for walk-ins and free for children 12 and under. Get there early to get a great spot on the lawn and enjoy live music from 6 pm to 8 pm before the fireworks begin. This fireworks show is a can’t miss event during the holiday weekend!
