The Most Important Meal of the Day

Every adventure should get its start with a great meal, and the breakfasts served at The Stove, 644 Old Mammoth Road, have been a Mammoth tradition for over 50 years. It is impossible to feel gloomy over a little dampness in the air when you are seated at the table of this no-frills joint, tucking into a plate of Prime Rib Hash & Eggs, especially if you splurge and order a side of sweet and fluffy pancakes for “dessert!” Open every day of the week except Wednesdays, The Stove doesn’t believe in fussy, but they do believe in serving simple foods that are simply delicious; do not be surprised if breakfast at this sweet spot becomes your vacation tradition!

Your Mammoth adventures are fun and fulfilling, but when the rain starts to fall, why not take some time to spoil yourself? Simply Massage (two locations, one in the village and one in the middle of town) has been our go-to spot for relaxation and recharging for three years, and we think it will become your new happy place as well! Offering a variety of massage packages and essential oil remedies, Simply Massage’s talented staff can help you soothe those aches, pains, and stresses that come with everyday life.

Take a Walk Through the Past

Your summer vacation to Mammoth will not be complete without taking a step back in time with a visit to Mammoth Museum at the Hayden Cabin, 5489 Sherwin Creek Road. Only open during the summer months, this cabin built in the 1920s offers a fascinating glimpse into the history of our region. Built of logs, this quaint structure stands alone in a field of green grass, surrounded by split log rails, with a creek running behind it and a well tucked away in one corner of the property. It looks much as it might have 100 years ago, and when you go inside, it is as if time has stood still. A large stone fireplace is the centerpiece of the cabin, and the furnishings, décor, and accessories give a hint as to what it must have been like to live here during the cabin’s early days.

Artfully Expressive

The area we live in is a beautiful place, offering breathtaking views and a gorgeous natural landscape which makes even non-artists feel like picking up a brush and conveying its beauty on canvas, so as you might expect, true artists cannot stay away! Samples of their work can be seen in the variety of galleries that line our streets, including include the Sierra Light Gallery (3399 Main Street M-2) and the Twin Lakes Art Gallery (51 Lake Mary Road). Ignore the wet roads and gloomy skies as you lose yourself in the magic created by some of the most talented artists in the world, and when you find the piece that speaks to your heart, snatch it up and never let it go! You may not be able to recreate the beauty of Mammoth, but the masterpieces found in our art galleries do so masterfully!
